Setup Email in Netscape 7- MacIntosh

Open Netscape
  • Open Netscape
  • Click on Window -> Mail and Newsgroups.
  • Click Edit -> Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings....
Account Settings
  • To create a new account click Add Account and follow wizard.
New Account Setup
  • Select Email Account.
  • Click Next.
Identity
  • Your Name: Enter name to appear in the From field of outgoing mail. This is not your email address - usually it's your Full Name.
  • Email Address: Type in your Nationwide email address.
  • Click Next.
Server Information
  • Select the type of incoming server you are using: Leave selection on POP.
  • Incoming Server: This is usually mail.nationwideinc.com, unless you were given an alternate server such as mail.netrus.net.
  • Outgoing Server: If you are dialing into one of our southeast Florida numbers, this is usually mail.nationwideinc.com, unless you were given an alternate outgoing server such as mail.netrus.net. If on one of our National Dialup plans, use smtp.safepages.com. If you use us for email, but connect to the internet through another provider, you must use their outgoing mail server (for instance, mail.bellsouth.net if you use Bellsouth DSL).
  • Click Next.
Username
  • Type in the first part of your Nationwide email address, but leave off the @nationwideinc.com.
  • Click Next
Account Name
  • This is just a title. You can leave as it is or change to whatever you would like. We recommend using your email address for identification purposes.
  • Click Next.
Congratulations
  • Confirm settings and click Finish.
